Paper Smooches Spotlight #3

I'm excited to be a guest designer at Paper Smooches...such a fun opportunity.  If you need to make some Christmas cards and would like to try something new...check our Paper Smooches October release, you'll find some fun items to play with!

Here is my third installment of their newest releases....

This is a super cute Holiday Sweets die set gives you a ton of options.  I choose to work with these cute little candy canes...I mean who doesn't love a crunchy candy cane!

I simple die cute the candy cane from red card stock.  I also die cut a few of the holly leaves from Boxed Greetings die set.  I added a bit of distress ink to the holly leaves.  Then stamped and heat embossed the fun sentiment.  A very simple and quick card to make...especially if you are interested in making several!

Here's a close up of the card.  You can see that I added a bit of foam tape to pop up the candy cane panel!

Addicted to CAS - Pumpkin

Wow...can't believe it is already Halloween time.  I was walking the dog and saw a funny little graveyard scene in the neighborhood...kinda freaked out the puppy a bit!

We have another challenge starting today at Addicted to CAS!  Our theme for this challenge is Pumpkins.  While, I'm not a huge Halloween person...I have to say some of the cutest stamps are Halloween themed!

Here's my take on the challenge...

Okay this was a super quick and simple card...not just because I forgot about the challenge...but because this is my favorite style.

A little stamping and a bit of Copic coloring is all it takes!

Here's a bit of a close up.  You can see I added the colored panel on a bit of foam tape to give a bit of dimension.

Looking forward to seeing what you come up with!

Less is More - OLC Stars

We have a new challenge starting today at Less is More.  Our theme for our One Layer Challenge is Stars!  Lots of terrific opportunities here...I made a few cards, but didn't find them to be simple enough, so I came back to this one.

As you can see, this card is pretty simple to recreate.  I just stamped the sentiment at the bottom.  It is a stamp from Alley Way Stamp company that is no longer in existence.  I then stamped and colored a few stars.  It still looked a bit empty so I added a few dots with my Copic markers.

Here's a close up of the card.  Pretty quick and easy.

Looking forward to seeing what you come up with!

Paper Smooches - Spotlight #2

I'm excited to be a guest designer at Paper Smooches...such a fun opportunity.  Here is my second installment of their newest release....

This is the perfect card for mass production...pretty quick to complete.

I simply used the "Merry Christmas" die and cut it on various colored card stocks---even using scrap paper stock, which is a bonus!  I then just adhered the script to the card base and added a few silver stars!

Here's a close up of the card.  I plan on making a few of these using my scrap paper!

I then popped the present on foam tape for a bit of dimension.  Added the sentiment at the bottom and done!

I just couldn't resist this Periodically Yours Stamp Set!  This is the perfect stamp set for my family as I have several science nerds that will just love any card made with periodic table elements!

I started by getting my distressed ink cubes and picking some chemical colors!  I splattered them on in a bit of a rainbow order.  I then stamped my elements and cut them out by hand..obviously super simple :)  Then added a bit of dimension by popping them up on foam tape.

Here's a close up of the card.  You can see the dimension of each of the elements!

Head on over to check out the entire blog hop...you are sure to be inspired!  Also, don't forget to leave comments on the blogs during your hop, as you will have the opportunity to win a $25.00 gift certificate to the YNS Store.  While you don't have to comment on each blog to win, you will have better odds to win if you comment on all blogs.

Also, there is a terrific sale going on...perfect timing for all the new goodies (which are available in store now!) and the ones you have been dreaming about!

Less is More - Hot and Spicy

We have another challenge starting today over at Less is More!  Our theme is a color challenge with the theme of Hot and Spicy.  How fun is that!  For my card, I thought I would focus on red---a hot and spicy color!

Here is my take on the challenge.  Looking forward to seeing what you come up with..

I just had to use this stamp set when doing anything with Hot & Spicy....so I colored my little chef in read and a warm grey (maybe not hot for those of us who don't like it too spicy it is warm :))

I heat embossed some pots and pans in the corner of my card stock, then used the smooching method to add some spicy red.  I added a bit of foam tape to my chef and added my sentiment.

Here's a close up of the card.  You can see a bit of the dimension.

Looking forward to seeing what you come up with!
